Accomplishments

During my tenure as commissioner, I have played a key role in implementing a variety of action items that have influenced how Andrew County operates.

Here is a glimpse of what I have been able to accomplish as Andrew County Commissioner over the last 10 years:

I led the development of various internal county policy and procedure documents that are now formalized and implemented.
I’ve worked alongside a reliable cybersecurity consultant to initiate information technology improvements to ensure the county’s sensitive information remains secure.
I implemented a Senior Tax Credit Program approved by referendum of the voters that exempts participating citizens 62 or older from property tax increases on their primary residence.
I worked with the Andrew County Sheriff and school districts to ensure the presence of School Resource Officers in all local schools.
Under my supervision, the county upgraded the Andrew County courthouse’s HVAC environmental control system and repaired the courthouse clock tower.

Roads & Bridges

In my 10 years as East District Commissioner, we have replaced 1-2 failing bridges each year, and we are currently working on two additional bridge replacements for 2026.

Courthouse Security & Community Safety

I have proudly assumed leadership in various initiatives to bolster physical security, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness across Andrew County.

CARES Act & ARPA

I played a fundamental role in overseeing the distribution of CARES Act and American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds to responsibly address the county’s needs.
